Step one: The main keys to free traffic

In the first step for a successfully website or blog you have to have good and interesting content. You have to make the viewer’s enjoying being on the site, and without a good content or some good products to offer, this will not be possible.

Start off with getting good subjects you can write allot about, no one likes thin and uninteresting content written for no other purpose that your own satisfaction, so get a subject that can offer the readers something.

Images

Images are often recommended by people around the internet, and I can agree with them, but this is not something you have to follow. If you are a good writer and your content are good enough alone, then pictures may destroy a little. This is not very common, but there are cases where this can happen.

Search engines

The number one best way to get traffic is using links. And search engines are the best place to create these links. There are hundreds of search-engines on the internet and if you submit your sites on some of these, then you make people able to search and find your site. People that are entering your site in free will are better than all other types of ads and paid traffic. Then the key is to make them wanting to stay, and come back.
